Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a huge gathering of the Indian community in Houston, Texas during his visit to the United States in September, reports India TV.
PM Modi will be in the US in September to participate in the seventy third annual summit of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Texas India Forum is organising the community summit at the NRG Stadium on 22 September. Expecting a turnout of at least 50,000 people, the event named 'Howdy, Modi!' will be held in one of America's largest football stadiums.
Special cultural programmes are included to reflect various aspects of the Indo-US socio-cultural ties during the summit whose tagline is, "Shared Dreams, Bright Futures."
This will be PM Modi's first visit to Houston as India’s Prime Minister. Modi had visited Houston as a general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) to take part in the path-breaking ceremony of the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir.
Earlier, PM Modi had addressed the Indian-American community at Silicon Valley in 2014 and Madison Square in New York in 2016. Both the events witnessed a turnaround of more than 20,000 people.
Houston is home to one of the largest Indian-American community with many among them taking part in Modi's election campaigns from overseas.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
