PM Modi’s Election Campaign Was Most Extensive In Indian History; Spread Across 142 Rallies Covering 1.5 Lakh Km

Braving the searing summer heat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flew over 1.5 lakh km and took part in 142 public rallies as part of the election campaign, BJP president Amit Shah said, reports Financial Express.

“Since Independence, the most hardworking, extensive election campaign was this one, and Modi’s outreach was unprecedented. There is virtually no part of the country where Modi did not visit between February-May”, Amit Shah said in the Joint presser held at the BJP party office on 17 May.

PM Modi’s campaign started on 28 March from Meerut, and since then he addressed 142 public rallies and four road shows, Amit Shah said. Modi had addressed around 1.5 crore people in these rallies directly Shah adds sourcing conservative estimates.

Shah also said that he came across 312 Lok Sabha constituencies and addressed 161 rallies and 18 road shows, covering over 1.58 lakh kms. “Modi’s campaign involved air travel of around 1.5 lakh km,” said Shah, further elaborating.
