Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tweet.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepted Virat Kohli’s fitness challenge on Twitter earlier today, saying he will soon post a video on the micro-blogging site.
“Challenge accepted, Virat,” the Prime Minister wrote in his response to the cricketer’s tweet. Apart from Prime Minister Modi, Kohli has nominated Anushka Sharma and Mahendra Singh Dhoni for the challenge.
The fitness challenge, which has the tag line ‘hum fit toh India fit’, was started by Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. In a video posted on Twitter, the Olympic medalist shared his ‘fitness mantra’ and nominated Virat Kohli, Saina Nehwal and Hrithik Roshan for the challenge.
Other union ministers, including Kiren Rijiju and Piyush Goyal, have also participated in the fitness challenge. The initiative has earned praise from all quarters.
