One police personnel was martyred, while another was injured after a joint patrol party of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) police was attacked by terrorists in Pulwama on Thursday (21 May), Hindustan Times reported.
One Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) soldier was also injured in the attack. The two injured officials have been taken to hospital and the area has been cordoned off, journalist Aditya Raj Kaul tweeted.
In another attack earlier on Wednesday, two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were martyred in Srinagar when motorbike-borne terrorists attacked them at a picket in Pandach area, according to officials attributed in the report.
“After a group of terrorists attacked a BSF party at Srinagar’s Pandach, two troopers got injured. Later they succumbed to their injuries,” an official report released on Wednesday confirmed.
Further details are awaited regarding today’s attack in Pulwama.
