Ram Mandir Trust Donates Rs 11 Lakh To PM-CARES Fund Contributing To Fight Against Coronavirus

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust donated Rs 11 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund, setup to fight coronavirus outbreak in the country, news agency ANI tweeted on Monday (6 April).

The trust was setup recently to supervise the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya after the Supreme Court’s verdict last year.

The nation has witnessed several noted personalities from the sports fraternity come forward to contribute to the nation's fight to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

This fund was constituted after the Prime Minister’s Office received many requests for supporting the government in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

As a result public charitable trust under the name of Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund) was set-up. Prime Minister Modi is the Chairman of this trust and its Members include Defence Minister, Home Minister and Finance Minister.

Citizens can contribute to the PM-CARES fund via various online transfer options like NEFT, UPI, Credit-Debit cards. The UPI id for the fund is pmcares@sbi and other details can be availed at the official website of the Prime Minister.
