Russia-made COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V will be available to Indians in few weeks, Deepak Sapra, CEO - API and Services, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories informed Hindustan Times.
Reportedly, around 1.5 lakh doses of the vaccine arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad yesterday (1 May) which is undergoing statutory clearances.
Last month, the Drug Controller General (DCGI) had issued permission for Dr Reddy's Laboratories to import the Russian vaccine to India for emergency use.
All SOPs to be followed in warehouses and vaccination centres are in place and training will be given, said Ravi Prakash Mathur, Vice President and Head of Global Logistics at Dr Reddy's Laboratories.
