A 16-year-old girl was fatally stabbed in Outer Delhi's Shahbad Dairy by her 'friend' Sahil.
The victim girl was stabbed over a dozen times and then her head was crushed with a large stone. The horrific incident was caught on a CCTV camera.
On Sunday, the police were informed about the girl's dead body lying on a street in the area.
A police informer spotted it and reported it to the force, who dispatched a PCR vehicle.
The girl was attacked by a boy named Sahil while walking down the street. He stabbed her multiple times with a knife and hit her on the head with stones.
"Sahil and the deceased were in a relationship but yesterday they had a quarrel. On Sunday, the deceased was planning to attend her friend Neetu’s son’s birthday. The accused Sahil intercepted her and stabbed her multiple times,” a police officer was quoted by the Indian Express as saying.
After brutally murdering the girl, Sahil fled from the spot.
Sahil was later arrested by the Delhi police near Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP leader Kapil Mishra has alleged 'love jihad' in the case, further asking who was the mastermind behind Sahil.
Posting a picture of Sahil after arrest, Mishra tweeted, "This is Mohammad Sahil s/o Sarfaraz This monster mercilessly killed a minor Hindu girl by stabbing her in Delhi. How is Kalava in the hands of this Sahil? This is love jihad. This is a planned attack against daughters Who is Sahil's master mind?"
