Sajjan Jindal Led JSW Steel To Increase Supply Of Liquid Medical Oxygen From Its Plants To 1,000 Tonnes Per Day From Today

India's biggest steelmaker, JSW Steel will ramp up the supply of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) from ist plants in the country to 1,000 tonnes per day from today (30 April) onwards, reports Economic Times.
The total supplies of LMO from the Sajjan Jindal led steelmaker's plants for the entire month of April is expected to be over 20,000 tonnes. The company is supplying LMO from its plants in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
According to the president of the company's Vijayanagar unit, Rajashekhar Pattanasetty, the company has more than tripled the supply from the Vijayanagar plant from an average of 200 tonnes per day to over 680 tonnes per day and has so far supplied more than 11,500 tonnes of LMO from its Ballari plant in Karnataka in April month.
It should be noted that JSW Steel is one of the several companies among the public and private sector entities which have been helping the nation meet the surge in demand for LMO due to rising cases of fresh COVID-19 infections in the country
Other noted private sector entities supplying significant volumes of medical oxygen include TV Narendran led Tata Steel, Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries, Naveen Jindal led Jindal Steel and Power, Lakshmi Niwas Mittal led ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel and many more.
