Samjhauta Express Train Service Between India And Pakistan Restarts Today

Amid tension prevailing between India and Pakistan, the Samjhautha express services have been resumed after both nations agreed to operationalise services at their ends, reports Times of India.
On the Indian side, the bi-weekly train runs on Wednesday and Sunday from Delhi to Attari and on the Pakistan’s side, it runs from Lahore to Wagah .
The services of the train services were put on hold after the Indian Airforce struck at the Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camp at Balakot.
The latest move reportedly comes a day after Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, returned home via the Wagah-Attari border crossing.
The official said the first train from India would leave on 3 March. On the Pakistan side, the train will go Lahore on Monday on its return journey.
India cancelled the operations of the Samjhauta Express on 28 February, while Pakistan had stalled the services after the air strike by the Indian Air Force.
