The sudden demise of the former external affairs minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj has left countrymen in shock. Following the passing away of Swaraj, heartfelt tributes are pouring in from politicians and common masses.

President Ram Nath Kovind expressed shock on the passing away of Swaraj and said that she will always be remembered for her service to the people of India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is an insurmountable loss to the nation as a glorious chapter of a remarkable leader has come to an end.

“The death of Sushma Swaraj ji is an irreparable loss to BJP and Indian politics. On behalf of all BJP workers, I express my deepest condolences to his family, supporters and well wishers. God bless the departed soul forever. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti,” tweeted Home Minister Amit Shah.

Amit Shah also said that Swaraj has left an indelible mark in Indian politics in various forms such as an ardent speaker, an ideal activist, popular public representative and a working minister.

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi also condoled the death of former EAM and said that she was a gifted orator and an exceptional Parliamentarian.

Former Cricketer and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir said that Swaraj was a pillar of the BJP and she will be remembered as the most endearing and helpful politicians of recent times.

Former Army chief and BJP leader General (Retired) VK Singh hailed Swaraj as a leader with exemplary insights, understanding and visionary leadership.

Besides, several other political leaders and Bollywood celebrities including Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri paid their tributes to Swaraj.
