Unterföhring S-Bahn station where the attack took place
A shootout was reported today (13 June) at the Unterföhring S-Bahn station in Munich, the capital city of Bavaria in Germany around 10am local time.
According to a BBC News report, several people including a policewoman were injured in the shooting. BR, the Bavarian state radio quoted the police saying that it was not a terrorist attack.
Update: Munich Police announced that they had arrested one person in connection with the shooting.
German newspaper Merkur reports that the alleged perpetrator grabbed the service weapon of the policewoman before firing. He then proceeded to hit the woman in the head with the gun. The report also said that the incident was a result of a verbal spat that the policewoman tried to control.
