State Funds To Be Used For Jagan Reddy’s Family Trip To Jerusalem; CM To Visit Various Christian Holy Sites

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has been criticised for using state funds amounting to over Rs 22 lakh to pay for security on his four day family visit to Jerusalem, IANS has reported.

Jagan - a protestant, left for Israel on Thursday night (1 August) along with his family is expected to visit various Christian holy sites in the city. After spending four days in Israel, Jagan would go on a trip to the US till 25 August.

The state government released a total of Rs 22.50 lakh in favour of Triple S. Tours and Travels, Israel which will make security arrangements for him in the city. SP Sivaraj Senthil Kumar and Chief Security Officer to the Chief Minister A Joshi would also be part of the security apparatus.

This has been criticised by various state BJP leaders who have questioned the use of state funds for a personal visit by Jagan.

“Why is public money is being used for a private visit by the chief minister and his family?”, questioned BJP leader Lanka Dinakar.
