Tata Group Says ‘Tata’ To Suhel Seth: Terminates Contract Following Sexual Harassment Allegations

Tata Group has announced its decided to terminate its contract with brand consultant Suhel Seth, against whom multiple allegations of sexual harassment and assault were made by several women as part of the #MeToo campaign in India, NDTV has reported.

Tata Group will not be renewing its contract which Seth’s outfit Counselage that is ending next month (November).

The report quoted Tata group spokesperson as saying that "Counselage's contract with Tata Sons will end on November 30, 2018".

The otherwise voluble Suhel Seth has maintained a studied silent since a string of sexual harassment allegations broke against him on social media. He has been named by at least six women including model Diandra Soares, filmmaker Natasha Rathore and writer Ira Trivedi.

After the allegations had surfaced, a Tata spokesperson had said that, the group is committed to promote a safe working place for women. to “Tata Group is committed to promoting a safe workplace for women. We have noted the recent reports regarding Mr Seth in the media. We are looking into the issue and will decide on a further course of action in this regard.”
