BJP workers protest against Pakistan following Pulwama terror attacks (@ANI)
Protests were carried out in different parts of the country in wake of the terror attack carried out against a CRPF convoy yesterday (14 February) in which 40 soldiers were martyred, reports ANI.
Youths took to the streets in Jammu and chanted slogans against the terrorists. “We are protesting against the killing of 40 CRPF jawans. This is shameful. There should be stern actions now, there should be another surgical strike,” they demanded.
Another demonstration happened in Bhopal where BJP workers spoke out in grief and anger over the incident. “Very painful and shameful incident. The terrorists are bred by Pakistan. We want Prime Minister Modi to attack Pakistan and teach it a lesson,” they stated.
The Pulwama attack is one of the deadliest terrorist strike on security forces in the history of the Jammu & Kashmir insurgency. The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber using a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED); he rammed his explosives-laden SUV into a convoy of CRPF vehicles travelling on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken out strongly against the attack, calling it despicable, and has indicated that retaliatory measures will be taken. “The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs,” he stated.
