Users will have to wait for the gamechanger of the broadband industry Reliance Jio GigaFiber for more time than expected. According to a report from India Today, Reliance would not be commercially launching the services for a year, contradicting reports which had pegged its launch during the upcoming company AGM.
According to the report, India Today has learnt from service engineers responsible for installing the new connections, that GigaFiber would continue under its preview offer for the next year. A person seeking anonymity said that the official launch is not expected this year.
The report said that with Jio fine-tuning its infrastructure for the commercial launch of the service, the company would take another year before Reliance Jio GigaFiber hits the market with the various monthly or annual subscription plans.
