The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation has set up flight services from Bengaluru to Mysuru on the occasion of Dasara festivities in collaboration with Alliance Air, Star of Mysore has reported. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the KSTDC and Alliance Air for this service.
The special 72-seater ATR aircraft will operate from Bengaluru to Mysuru between 10 October to 20 October. The flight will leave Bengaluru on all days except Tuesdays at 2.10 pm and reach Mysuru by 3 pm. The return flight will start at 3.30 pm from Mysuru and reach Bengaluru at 4.20 pm. Fares for this service start at Rs. 999. Flight tickets can be booked online and will operate from Kempegowda International Airport.
The operation was scheduled to be inaugurated by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. However, the model code of conduct in force due to the by-poll in the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency could be a roadblock to the plan. The flight service will enable tourists to travel from the city to Mysuru comfortably for Dasara.
