Three Civilians Killed As Afghan Forces Fight Back Pakistani Army Trying To Setup Military Post Along Disputed Border

Afghan forces are now engaged in intense fighting to stop Pakistan military from establishing military installation along the disputed border, reports Al Jazeera.
Pakistan fired mortar and rockets into Afghanistan which killed three women in eastern Kunar province, Afghan officials said on Monday (28 October).
Abdul Ghani Musamem, spokesman for the governor of Kunar said, “Fighting first broke out on Sunday (27 October) afternoon when Afghan forces and local militiamen tried to stop Pakistani forces from allegedly establishing a military installation along the disputed border.”
Due to the geographic location of the area, communication was very difficult and the fight lasted over three hours and also wounded four civilians in the remote Nari district.
Pakistani forces fired mortars down on villages inside Afghanistan after fighting resumed Monday (28 October) morning, said General Mohammad Ayub Hussainkhail, an Afghan commander for forces on the eastern border.
"Dozens of local people have displaced from the area," he said, adding that reinforcements had arrived in the Do Kalam area of Nari district.
There was no immediate comment from Pakistan.
