Suspended DGP Jacob Thomas (Drjacobthomasips/Wikimedia Commons)
Former Kerala DGP Jacob Thomas who was suspended by the communist state government for criticising it over the law and order situation in the aftermath of Cyclone Ockhi, has asserted that time has come for people to chant Jai Shri Ram with even more might, reports ANI.
While speaking at a public even in Thrissur, Thomas who was the Kerala DGP at the time of his suspension, questioned as to how a situation has arisen where one cannot hail Lord Ram.
He claimed that if people’s minds have reached such a state where they cannot hail Lord Ram then one needs to introspect if they have become evil.
“Time has come for us to chant 'Jai Shree Ram' with more might”, thus asserted Thomas.
Thomas was recently given a boost by the Central Administrative Tribunal which ordered the Pinarayi Vijayan government to reinstate him. The tribunal also accepted that he was targeted by the state government.
