A local Trinamool Congress leader has been caught on camera openly threatening opposition polling agents and ‘traitors’ with dire consequences after the Lok Sabha polls are over.

The video is said to be from the Budge Budge region of the state.

As per a video released by political commentator Smita Barooah the TMC leader began threatening those cheating his party. The leader then acknowledged that he himself has a record of cheating honest people.

After belittling the Central Forces as ineffective, the leader claimed that the opposition parties would be dead scared to provide a polling agent during the elections.

Though if indeed any opposition polling agent emerges, the leader appealed to his followers to capture his or her photograph. He added that after the voting ends on 19 May, his party’s establishment and the police would still be here and would “deal” with the opposition workers.

Meanwhile, the BJP has alleged mass rigging in various parts of the state like Cooch Behar. The BJP candidate Nisith Pramanik also alleged that the police looked helpless in front armed TMC men.
