UP: India's Largest Start-Up Incubator To Be Set Up In Lucknow, Talks On With STPI To Build, Operate The Facility

Uttar Pradesh (UP)'s capital Lucknow is set to get country's largest start-up incubator centre on a 2.5 lakh square feet land identified opposite the Amausi airport, reports Hindustan Times.
The land has been identified by UP Electronics Corporation which is the start-up nodal agency appointed by the state government. To build and operate the incubation facility, the Corporation is in talks with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), which is a central government enterprise.
STPI has already made a presentation before the state's infrastructure and industrial development commissioner and shared the plan and scale of the project.
The facility, once developed and becomes operational, will be operated on a hub and spoke model, wherein the largest incubator will serve as a hub for all other government recognised start-up incubators and e-cells in the state to draw synergies from the hub for their respective capacity development and growth.
Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary at state's Department of IT and Electronics, the upcoming incubation centre is proposed to be developed on a plug and play model in line with global standards to offer an all-inclusive ecosystem to help startups and investors realise their dreams.
