UPSC Civil Services Exam: Here Are Some Tips That Can Help IAS Aspirants Cross The Prelims Cut-Off

Union Public Service Civil Services Examination prelims is scheduled for 4 October 2020.
That the exam is just one month away means the aspirants would be biting their nails and slogging hard. Here are some last minute tips to polish your preparation:
- Revise the already finished material, don’t start a new material of the subject you’ve already studied
- The focus should be more on the concepts and underlying goals and themes, instead of GK trivia
- Solve a lot of questions. Different websites offer quizzes, practice tests etc. Attempt these questions to gauge the level of your preparation
- Attempt previous year question papers, as well as CDS, CAPF papers etc.
- Develop a good temperament for the examination so as to avoid silly mistakes
Apart from this, the students should maintain a proper sleep cycle and good health, and avoid going outside in the times of the Coronavirus pandemic. Getting sick can lead to loss of precious time.
Aspirants should also remember that UPSC often throws surprises in the examination, so it is better to be mentally prepared. It is very much possible that the candidate doesn’t recognise a question immediately, but has to show patience to reach at the correct answer in the exam.
