Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the apex body which conducts examinations for All India Civil Services recruitment and for various other central services, has released the examination calendar for the year 2019 on its official website, reports India Today.
The calendar will be available at upsc.gov.in. According to the schedule, the civil services Preliminary Examination will be held on 2 June while the Mains Examinations is scheduled for 20 September.
However, the official notification will be released on 19 February and the last date to apply for the civil services exam is 18 March 2019.
The preliminary examination consists of objective-type questions, while the mains examination is descriptive and essay-type.
Further, the commission will conduct the National Defence Academy (NDA)/Naval Academy (NA) Exam 2019 on 21 April. The official notification of the same will be released on 9 January.
