The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS), AK Jain has certified the commencing the revenue/commercial operations of metro services of the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) services for public ridership on the whole corridor between the CCS Airport and Munshipulia, the Metro Rail News reports.
The LMRC received approval after the CMRS AK Jain inspected the metro trains trail runs at the maximum operating speed of 87 kmph. Jain along with a team of senior LMRS officials completed the investigation by running the train from the airport to Munshipulia on 22 February. The speed trial run test, as well as the migrating test, was completed in the whole section of North to South corridor (phase 1-A).
The Managing Director of LMRC said Shri Kumar Keshav, “Getting all the required technical clearances and finally certification from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety today to commence revenue operations on the entire section of North-South corridor (phase 1-A) from CCS Airport to Munshipulia has been a great achievement for all of us." He also congratulats the complete LMRC team, General Consultants, Contractors, Vendors and construction labour for their dedication, commitment, hard work and perseverance for completing the task in record time.
Further, Keshav thanked the whole team for their continued hard work in the past few days in arranging Commissioner of Railway Safety certification of the entire corridor for the opening the metro to public for revenue operation.
With the CRSC certification for the opening and services of the CCS airport to Munshipulia services would be accessible to the public shortly after the inauguration. MD Kumar also was thankful to the continued support of people in Lucknow due to whom the construction was able to be completed before schedule.
