Uttarakhand: Soon Air Ambulance For People In Far Flung Hilly Areas Of The State

Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that the state government, would soon launch an air ambulance service in order to facilitate better treatment facilities to the people who are living in the far-flung hilly areas of the state , The Tribune has reported.
Rawat was speaking after inaugurating the sixty-sixth National Conference of Anatomical Society of India at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) institute located in Rishikesh.
He said that in just six years, the institute had increased its capacity to 900 beds and introduced several facilities that has resulted in a 30 per cent reduction in pressure on AIIMS in Delhi.
Rawat, focusing on the plight of people residing in the remote hilly areas of the state, said that the air ambulance service will be a part of his government’s efforts to provide better medical facilities to them.
“It has always been our effort to provide better treatment facilities to people in the remote areas. The air ambulance service, which is going to be launched soon, will be a step in that direction,” Rawat said.
Rawat also thanked the faculty and staff of the AIIMS for always being ready in extending help to the state government in providing medical aid to the people of the state who are in crisis.
