A quarantine facility for coronavirus patients (Pic via Twitter)
The mandatory quarantine period for people coming from 75 "high load Covid-19 cities" to Uttarakhand has gone up from 14 days to 21 days.
The state government has increased the mandatory quarantine period for people from these cities in the view of the rise in the number of people testing positive for coronavirus.
The standard operating procedure (SOP) from the government for people coming to Uttarakhand includes institutional quarantine of seven days followed by home quarantine of 14 days in the total duration of 21 days.
This will apply to people using any mode of transport travelling to the state from the 75 cities, which include Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Noida, Varanasi, Jaipur, Indore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Agra, Lucknow, Jaipur and Hyderabad.
People coming to Uttarakhand from cities outside the list of 75 cities will have to undergo home quarantine of 14 days.
