Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is set to unveil a 63 feet tall statue of Pandit (Pt) Deendayal Upadhyaya called 'Pancha Loha' statue in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi today (16 February) reports Hindustan Times.
The statue, which will be the tallest such structure built to commemorate Pt Upadhyaya in the nation, has involved work from over 200 artisans who contributed to the building of the structure for almost a year.
PM Modi will also be inaugurating a memorial centre dedicated to the life of Pt Upadhyaya, which has been built in a time of almost a year by over 30 artists and craftsmen from the State of Odisha.
Furthermore, PM Modi will also be inaugurating over 30 projects in his constituency which includes a 430-bed super speciality government hospital and a 74-bed psychiatry hospital at the Benaras Hindu University (BHU).
