'Violent Face-Off A Result Of China's Attempt To Unilaterally Change Status-Quo': MEA Busts Chinese Propaganda

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday evening (16 June) issued a statement over the violent clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Galwan valley yesterday night.

The clashes which resulted in deaths for the first time since 1975 erupted after China attempted to unilaterally change the status quo in the area. It also added that all of India's activities are within the Indian side of the LAC.

Three Indian Army personnel now identified as Colonel B Santosh Babu, Havildar Palani and Sepoy Ojha were martyred in the confrontation. At least three Chinese soldiers were killed in retaliatory action.
