In a major stride towards women empowerment, the Rajya Rani Express train from Bengaluru to Mysuru was run by an all-women crew on 1 March, reports India Today.
The information was shared by Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal who posted a video on his social media handle.
"Towards Empowering Women: Commemorating the upcoming International Women's Day, Rajya Rani Express train between Bengaluru & Mysuru was run by an all women crew today. Watch Railways motorwoman expertly navigate the train through the interiors of our nation," Piyush Goyal tweeted.
The video has been viewed more than 60,000 times and shows an all women crew navigating the train. The twitterati showered praise on the act and the video has been liked by more than 12,000 twitter users.
