Bihar Energy minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav while participating at a conference in Katihar refused to wear a skull cap. This was caught on the camera by ANI. Bijendra Prasad has been representing the Supaul constituency since 1990. He is considered to be a powerful minister in the Nitish Kumar cabinet.
Bijendra Prasad Yadav was the chief guest of the event ‘Talimi Bedari’, a conference of Muslim leaders. His action has been a matter of discussion and controversy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had faced a similar controversy for refusing to wear a skull cap while he was the Chief minister in Gujarat. Earlier, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath too had refused to wear a skull cap while visiting an Islamic centre.
