After the much criticised case of abduction and forced conversion of two teenage Hindu girls on the eve of Holi in Pakistan’s Sindh, a video has surfaced allegedly of two Multan Hindu girls sharing their ordeal of constant harassment and threat by Islamists.

In a regretful video shared by an independent journalist, the girl is seen crying talking about how the fundamentalists harass her even in front of her family members and attempt inappropriate acts with her. Speaking in Punjabi, she also tells that her uncle along with her have suffered the assault at the hands of perpetrators. The girl also says that she doesn't want to stay there anymore.

The video surfaces after the terrorising act in Pakistan’s Sindh where two teenage Hindu girls, 13-year-old Raveena and 15-year-old Reena were abducted on Holi eve, forcibly converted to Islam and married to older Muslim men.

Indian minister of external affairs Sushma Swaraj, taking cognisance of the issue, asked Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan to send a report on the matter. In another video, the father of the two girls is seen wailing in front of the police station, helplessly crying for his teenage daughters.

The surfaced videos caused an outrage among the Twitterati who lambasted Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan over his promises of ‘naya Pakistan’ and treating minorities better.

The issue sparked discussions on history of Hindu persecution, Hinduphobia perpetrated by monotheistic religions, poor state of Hindu minority in Muslim majority counties in the subcontinent along with discussions over ‘Love jihad’, radical Islam and ‘demographic destiny’.
