NDTV journalist Sreenivasan Jain
NDTV journalist Sreenivasan Jain while reporting about the Delhi riots from Jaffarabad faced the ire of members of the ‘minority community’ after they realised that he was filming them.
The angry protesters even reportedly began pelting stones which resulted in Jain assuring the mob that he would stop filming and started to walk away. A video of the exchange was shared by journalist Deepak Chaurasia.
In the video Jain can be seen reporting from the other side of the fence separating him from a sizeable mob belonging to the minority community. As soon as he turned the camera towards the protesters, they strongly objecting to the filming.
Jain then turned defensive and made gestures assuring that he would desist from doing so. This though failed to assuage the mob which then began pelting stones in his direction, resulting in Jain walking away from the area.
“We are not going to film anymore, we will turn the camera and walk to the other side, where we are not going to get the crowd agitated”, Jain was heard commenting.
