Shiv Sena workers in the city of Wani in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district vandalised shops including an electronics store after its owners made a post against Uddhav Thackeray, Sakal has reported.
The social media post against Uddhav Thackeray was deemed objectionable by the Shiv Sainiks who also filed a case against the shop owners.
The incident happened on Monday (26 May) when irate Shiv Sena workers descended on the streets. In the video a large crowd can be seen entering the shop in the presence of a few cops and vandalising a few goods.
The sight outside the shop was a lot more grim with a digital signboard and vandalised appliances lying around. A couple of purported Shiv Sena workers can also be seen throwing coolers in a bid to break them.
The report claimed that the duo had posted against Uddhav Thackeray over the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The irate Shiv Sena workers then allegedly under the leadership of the local MLA Vishwas Nandekar marched on their respective shops and vandalised them.
