US President Joe Biden (Source: News18)
President of the United States (US) Joe Biden has vowed to avenge the killing of 13 US armed forces personnel who died in the fatal suicide bombing attacks at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan, reports Hindustan Times.
Speaking at the White House, Biden said, "To those who carried out this attack as well as anyone who wishes America harm know this: We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay." He also said, "We have some reason to believe we know who they are ... not certain."
While 13 of US' troopers were left dead following the attacks, as many as 18 more were injured. The attack came amid the evacuation efforts led by the US and other countries to get people out of the Afghan capital ahead of Biden's 31 August withdrawal deadline.
It should be noted that as per CNN, the terror outfit ISIS-K has claimed the responsibility for the suicide attacks at Kabul airport. The US' Department of Defence had also warned of a similar attack earlier this year.
