Pushing forth a major connectivity and infrastructure project for the state of Gujarat, the state’s Chief Minister (CM) Vijay Rupani announced on Tuesday (16 November) a semi high-speed rail corridor between the cities of Ahmedabad and Rajkot, reports Asian News International (ANI).
To be built at a cost of Rs 11,300 crore, the corridor will be connected with the presently under construction high-speed bullet train corridor which will operate between Ahmedabad and Mumbai in Maharashtra.

The project will give a major fillip to connectivity for the Saurashtra region of the state. Rupani's government aspires to initiate start the project along with the bullet train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
