The Uttar Pradesh government has approved 16 new tourism development projects in Ayodhya, amounting to an estimated Rs 92.46 crore, as part of a major push to enhance infrastructure and visitor facilities in the city, Jagran reported.

Proposed by the Ayodhya Tirth Vikas Parishad, the projects are designed to enrich the pilgrim and tourist experience at key sites across the region.

Among the most prominent upgrades is the addition of a viewing gallery and modern tourist amenities at the iconic Ram Ki Paidi ghat.

Several revered sites such as the Kamhariya Baba temple in Tarun block, Gahnag Baba Dham in Ram Patti, Suchita Ganj Sohawal, and the Tulsi Das Chavni Mandir are set to benefit from the development efforts.

Beautification works will also be undertaken at Makhoda Bharat Kund, Shravan Kshetra, Shringi Rishi Ashram, and Dashrath Samadhi Sthal.

A cultural and recreational hub is also in the pipeline, with an amphitheatre and food court to be built near Rajghat on the Saryu River.

Additionally, Saket Sadan will host a museum and interpretation centre dedicated to the Panchkosi, Chaudahkosi, and Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama pilgrimage circuits.

Other notable initiatives include a tourist centre in Abanpur Saroha village, development of heritage routes such as Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Dharm Path, and Janmabhoomi Path, installation of misting fans and canopies, and the beautification of Gulab Bari Farm.

Kaushalesh Sadan, Bhaskar Bhavan, and Sant Niwas will be renovated, while benches and lighting will be added opposite Guftar Ghat for visitor comfort.
