News Brief
Tamil Nadu Technology Hub
The first regional centre of the Tamil Nadu Information Technology and Digital Services (iTNT) hub in southern Tamil Nadu was inaugurated in Madurai on Friday (26 September), reported The Times Of India.
State Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, opened the facility at the Anna University regional campus in the city.
According to an official statement, the Madurai regional centre — the second iTNT hub in the state — represents a key milestone in Tamil Nadu’s efforts to strengthen deep-tech and emerging-tech ecosystems.
The state government aims to support startups, researchers, academic institutions, industries, and other stakeholders through this initiative.
The centre will expand the benefits of the iTNT ecosystem across a wider network of stakeholders in southern Tamil Nadu.
Additionally, the department plans to establish a satellite office at Thiagarajar College of Engineering in Madurai. This will be the first such satellite office for the iTNT hub in the state.
