Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: 16 Out Of Planned 21 River Bridges In Gujarat Completed

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project has achieved another significant milestone with the completion of the Daman Ganga River bridge in Gujarat's Valsad district.
This marks the sixteenth river bridge finished out of the 21 planned for the project in Gujarat, according to a statement by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).
Notably, all five river bridges in Valsad district are now complete.
The completed bridge spans 360 meters and is situated between the Boisar and Vapi Bullet Train stations, located approximately 1 km from Vapi and 61 km from Boisar.
It features nine full-span girders, each measuring 40 meters, and includes multiple piers of varying sizes, with heights ranging from 19 meters to 29 meters.
Among the piers, one is circular with a diameter of 4 meters, another with 5 meters, and the remaining eight with diameters of 5.5 meters.
Other river bridges completed in Valsad include Auranga (320 meters), Par (320 meters), Kolak (160 meters), and Darotha (80 meters).
These developments are part of the larger effort to support the Bullet Train project, which will significantly enhance connectivity and reduce travel times between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
The 508 Km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, also known as the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, will pass through the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
The project has 12 stations planned at Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Billimora, Surat, Bhaurach, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.
