Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (12 April) slammed INDI Alliance, saying that it wants to make India weak by dismantling the country's nuclear arsenal.

Addressing an election rally in Rajasthan's Barmer, PM Modi also attacked Congress, a key INDI Alliance partner, over its manifesto, saying that it has imprints of the manifesto of Muslim League, which was responsible for India's partition.

"...In the Congress manifesto, there is the stamp of Muslim League, which was the culprit of partition," PM Modi said.

He further attacked the INDI alliance for allegedly seeking to disarm India amid regional nuclear threats.

Attacking the CPI-M without naming it, PM Modi said that two of the India's neighbours have nuclear weapons, and a move to eliminate the country's arsenal will render it vulnerable.

"Now another party, which is a part of the INDI alliance, in its manifesto has made a dangerous declaration against the country that they will destroy India's nuclear weapons. When two of our neighbours are armed with nuclear weapons, should our nuclear weapons be destroyed? What kind of an alliance is this which wants to make India powerless?" PM Modi said.
