Veteran BJP leader B S Yediyurappa has warned voters against casting their ballots for the Congress party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, declaring it a vote for chaos, economic decline, corruption, and jeopardized internal security.
Yediyurappa also criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's leadership, claiming it has faltered, with no one willing to endorse him during the campaign, reported Deccan Herald.
Mentioning the significance of the elections for the nation's security and integrity, Yediyurappa expressed confidence in the BJP-JD(S) alliance's ability to secure all 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka.
The elections in the state will be conducted in two phases on 26 April 26 and 7 May.
Yediyurappa expressed confidence in the electorate's support for PM Modi's leadership, envisioning a secure, stable, and economically prosperous India under the BJP and NDA.
He dismissed the INDI bloc's divisive agenda based on language, caste, and religion, predicting its rejection by the people.
Yediyurappa concluded by questioning Rahul Gandhi's campaign against Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and criticized the Siddaramaiah government's governance failures.
"Will Rahul Gandhi, who had indulged in a misinformation campaign that HAL will be shut, apologise now? Will D K Shivakumar (Deputy CM) ensure that he apologises," he said.
