Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on Monday (14 April) to unveil a slew of infrastructure and connectivity projects aimed at boosting the state’s aviation, power, and transport sectors.

In Hisar, the Prime Minister will flag off the first commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya at around 10.15 am and lay the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport.

Estimated to cost over Rs 410 crore, the terminal will feature a modern passenger terminal, cargo facilities, and an air traffic control tower.

With scheduled flights from Hisar to Ayodhya (twice weekly), three flights in a week to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, this development will mark a significant leap in Haryana’s aviation connectivity, according to a PMO release.

Later, around 12.30 pm, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for major development projects in Yamunangar.

He will lay the foundation stone of 800 MW thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar.

Pushing forward India’s clean energy mission, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a Compressed Biogas Plant in Mukarabpur, Yamunanagar.

With an annual capacity of 2,600 metric tonnes, the plant will promote effective waste management and sustainable fuel generation under the GOBARDhan scheme.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the Rs 1,070 crore Rewari Bypass project under Bharatmala Pariyojana.

The 14.4 km bypass is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in Rewari, reduce travel time between Delhi and Narnaul by nearly an hour, and spur regional economic activity.
