Prime Minister Modi Chairs High-Level Meeting With Rajnath Singh, Jaishankar, Doval And Military Chiefs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has convened a high-level security meeting on Sunday at his residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, in New Delhi, amid a ceasefire understanding that was achieved yesterday.
The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the chiefs of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Earlier on Saturday too, PM Modi had chaired a similar meeting on the security situation.
On Saturday (10 May), External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar announced that India and Pakistan had reached an agreement to stop firing and military operations.
The ceasefire understanding came in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor 2.0, which inflicted significant damage on 11 major Pakistani airbases on 10 May, prompting Islamabad to pursue a ceasefire arrangement with New Delhi.
However, within hours, India accused Pakistan of violating the ceasefire understanding.
This is a breach of the understanding arrived at earlier today and India takes "very serious note of these violations,” Misri stated during a special briefing, noting that Indian forces had responded accordingly.
In a fresh development, the official X account of Indian Air Force confirmed on Sunday (11 May) that "the operations are still ongoing and a detailed briefing will be conducted in due course".
