Amit Shah Accuses Chhattisgarh Congress Government Of Facilitating Religious Conversions Among Poor Tribals

Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a scathing attack on the Congress today (3 November), alleging an increase in religious conversion in Chhattisgarh under the party-led government.
Speaking at a rally in the Pandariya assembly constituency in the poll-bound state, Shah accused the Congress of using the state machinery to convert poor tribals.
Shah also accused the Congress of engaging in corruption and pledged that if the BJP is elected to power in the state, those involved in corrupt activities would face imprisonment.
He labeled Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as a "prepaid CM" of the Congress, accusing him of turning the state exchequer into an ATM for the party, as reported by NDTV.
"In the Congress rule, religious conversion is on the rise. The Constitution allows every citizen to follow the faith of their choice. But they have started using the state machinery to convert poor tribals, which is not in the interest of the state. As a result, clashes have erupted in every house and village of the state, and the law and order situation has deteriorated," Shah stated.
While affirming that the government would not interfere in anyone's religious matters, Shah warned that stern action would be taken by the BJP to prevent conversion if any government encourages it.
Shah also accused Chief Minister Baghel of practicing appeasement politics and declared that his "reverse countdown" had commenced.
