Another Indian Student Found Dead In US, Third Such Incident Within Two Weeks: Here's All You Need To Know

An Indian student, Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, was found in the Cincinnati in Ohio, US in the third such incident in a week.
19-year-old Shreyas was a student at the Linder School of Business in Ohio.
The Indian Mission in New York has expressed anguish and said a probe is on to establish the cause of Beniger's death.
The Consulate General of India (CGI) in New York said the probe into Benigeri’s death is underway and at this stage, any foul play is not suspected.
"Deeply saddened by the unfortunate demise of Mr. Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, a student of Indian origin in Ohio. Police investigation is underway. At this stage, foul play is not suspected. The Consulate continues to remain in touch with the family and is extending all possible assistance to them," the CGI in New York said in a post on X.
Earlier this week, Neel Acharya - a student at Purdue University - was found dead.
Acharya was reported missing by his mother on Sunday.
Hours later, a body was found on the university campus and was identified as that of Acharya.
What led to his death remains unclear and police officials in West Lafayette in the US state of Indiana have a launched a probe to investigate what led to the deaths.
Earlier on 16 January, Vivek Saini, a 25-year-old Indian student, was bludgeoned to death by a homeless man, who was arrested from the scene.
The homeless drug addict smashed Saini’s face and head with a hammer after Saini refused to give him any more shelter and food after providing him amenities for several days.
The incident happened at a convenience store in the US state of Georgia’s Lithonia where Saini used to work part-time.
He had recently completed his MBA in the US.
Another Indian student, Akul Dhawan, was found dead outside the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in January.
