The 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, witnessed an outstanding display of sporting prowess by Indian athletes.

Pranav Soorma led the charge by securing a gold medal and breaking the Asian Para Games record in the Men's Club Throw-F51 Final.

Soorma's remarkable performance resulted in a new record, with a throw of 30.01 metre on his second attempt.

The excellence of Indian athletes extended to the Men's High Jump-T63 event, where Shailesh Kumar secured the gold medal, and Mariyappan Thangavelu earned the silver medal.

Shailesh outperformed Mariyappan, achieving a jump of 1.82 metre, while Mariyappan settled for silver with a season-best attempt of 1.80 metre.

Adding to India's impressive medal haul, Prachi Yadav clinched a silver medal in women's VL2 Final canoeing.

In a closely contested race, Prachi finished second, just 1.022 seconds behind the gold medalist, Irodakhon Rustamova from Uzbekistan.

With a goal to surpass their previous best performance at the 2018 Asian Para Games, where India secured 72 medals, including 15 gold, 24 silver, and 33 bronze medals, the Indian contingent is determined to set new records and elevate India's standing in the history of Para Games.
