"Assam And Arunachal Pradesh Can Never Forget 1962": Amit Shah Criticises Nehru, Says China Couldn't Encroach Under Modi

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, declared at a rally in Assam's Lakhimpur that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, China has not been able to encroach on any Indian territory.
He criticised Jawaharlal Nehru for his handling of the Chinese aggression in 1962, stating that Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will never forget that period.
Shah also praised the BJP-led government for securing the border with Bangladesh and preventing infiltration, as per a report by Hindustan Times.
Earlier this year, Shah reiterated the government's stance that India did not lose any territory during the military standoff with China in eastern Ladakh.
He emphasised the resolve of India's leadership in preventing any encroachment on its land.
Shah also criticised the Congress party, particularly Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of neglecting Assam's culture and highlighting the violence that occurred under their governance.
He also stated, "Ten years of Modi ji has been a decade of transformation in Assam. Over the past 10 years, we have concluded various peace agreements and development projects. I am certain that in the upcoming years, Assam will become a developed state."
Regarding the Ram temple issue, Shah credited PM Modi's tenure for the progress made, including the Supreme Court judgement, groundbreaking ceremony, and consecration ceremony.
Assam's Lakhimpur is scheduled to vote in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections on 19 April, followed by voting on 26 April and 7 May for the second and third phases, respectively. Vote counting will take place on 4 June.
