Hindustan Times sources have indicated that a vote will take place on Friday (29 December) to determine the idol of Lord Ram Lalla that will be positioned within the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple, set to occur next month.

According to information from sources, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, which is responsible for the building and maintenance of the majestic Ram Temple in Ayodhya, will conduct voting during its meeting.

"The three sculptures, each created by a different artist, are to be considered. The statue that receives the majority of votes will be established during the shrine's consecration on 22 January," according to sources.

On Wednesday, Champat Rai, the trust secretary, stated that a 51-inch tall statue of Lord Ram, representing a five-year-old Ram Lalla, would be chosen from three proposed designs.

He stated that the one with the most divine essence and a semblance of childlike innocence would be chosen.

On Thursday, Nripendra Misra, the Chairman of the Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee, reviewed the ongoing construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi Path and the complex, in collaboration with the district's top official.

The examination was conducted prior to the upcoming consecration ceremony, set for next month, and a mere two days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's planned visit to the temple city.

Misra stated in an interview with ANI that the work is not being rushed through, instead, sufficient time is being invested to ensure it is done with quality.
