Ayodhya Gearing Up For The Construction Of Ram Lalla’s Garbhagriha Tomorrow, CM Adityanath To Lay The First Stone Of Sanctum Sanctorum

The city of Ayodhya is gearing up to host the start of the construction of Ram Lalla’s garbhagriha from tomorrow (1 June).

As per reports shared by the Ayodhya Development Authority, the garbhagriha or the sanctum sanctorum will be 20 feet wide and 20 feet long and will be decorated with Makrana marble.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will do the honours of laying the first foundation stone in the north-west direction and mark the beginnning of the historic and much waited abode of Ram Lalla.

The construction will be started with carved stones at 9am on 1 June and rituals to ensure the process takes off smoothly are being carried on at the premise for the last three days (since 28 May).

Forty senior vedic priests are participating in the various havans and rituals being conducted at the premise which will end with the start of the construction of the temple beteween 9am and 11.30am tomorrow.

The external wall will be 6 feet thick and the construction of the parikrama or circumambulation track will begin soon after.

The construction of the Ram Lalla Devasthanam in Dravidian style just outside the Ram Janmabhoomi premises takes off today (31 May).

CM Adityanath will partake in the the consecration which will be a five day programme that will be completed on 4 June. This temple will have idols of Shri Ram, Sita, Bharat, Hanuman and Shatrughn consecrated and will take off today with a procession from the temple.

The launch of the construction of the sanctum sanctorum will be live telecast for all to witness, while in Ayodhya, large LED screens will live cast the proceedings throughout the city at 12 locations.
