News Brief
Bhagwan Ramlalla at Ayodhya Ram Mandir
A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the pran pratishtha ceremony of Bhagwan Ramlalla at Ayodhya mandir, a large number of devotees queued up to visit the new temple on Tuesday (23 January) morning.
Ahead of the opening of the temple for public on Tuesday, massive crowds were seen in front of the temple.
Devotees began gathering at the temple in large numbers as early as 3 am even though Ayodhya was engulfed in a dense fog.
The gates will open to the public from 7.00 am to 11.30 am and then again from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
Security has been deployed to manage the rush, according to news agency ANI.
The 'pran pratishtha' rituals of Ramlalla were carried out yesterday with PM Modi as the mukhya (chief) yajmaan of the ceremony.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
After the pran pratishtha ceremony, PM Modi offered prayers at the Kuber Tila Shiva Temple, which is located in the Ram Temple premises in Ayodhya.
PM Modi performed ‘jalabhishek’ and did a ‘parikrama’ of the Shiva temple.
He also unveiled a statue of ‘Jatayu’ at the Ram Temple.
