The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded arrest of the accused in the killing of a Hindu man in Malakheda in Alwar, Rajasthan.

The kin of the victim have said that they will not receive the body until the arrests of the accused are made. Hindu organisations, too, have demanded the arrest of the accused in the killing of the man.

They protested at the local thana in Malakheda and demanded the removal of the SHO and CO and accused the police of protecting the accused.

BJP state chief Satish Puniya has said that atrocities are being committed on Hindus in the Mewat area.

The district unit of the BJP along with the district head of the party is protesting against the killing.

Puniya has reportedly said that the crime would not have been possible without the knowledge of the police, and accused people of a particular community of being the perpetrators of crime.

Puniya is reported to have spoken to the district collector on the matter and demanded changing of the beat incharge and others at the local thana.

The incident occurred in Baleta village, where resident of the village Dharmi Jogi was engrossed in work related to his agricultural land. The three main accused arrived at the field with nearly two dozen people on motorbikes and attacked them.

Jogi reportedly succumbed to his injuries at the spot and three members from his family were also injured.

Members of the family have said that they were threatened with dire consequences — "finishing off everyone" if they reported the matter to police.

They added that the incident has evoked intense fear among people in the village.
