In a recent rally in Chhattisgarh's Bishrampur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the Congress party, saying they had promised to reduce poverty for over five decades but failed to do so.

Invoking former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who played a key role in creating Chhattisgarh as a separate state in 2000, PM Modi pointed out that the people of Chhattisgarh now believe that "BJP ne banaya hai, BJP hi sawaregi" (BJP created it, and BJP will develop it), emphasising BJP's role in the state's growth, as reported by Indian Express.

Prime Minister Modi also advocated for technical education, like engineering, to be offered in students' mother tongue to enhance understanding.

He questioned the necessity of English to become an engineer.

Chhattisgarh is heading for an election, and the ruling Congress party, which previously won 19 out of 20 seats, aims to remain in power with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

The election results will be announced on 3 December. Key candidates in the contest include Chhattisgarh Congress chief and MP Deepak Baij (Chitrakot), ministers Kawasi Lakhma (Konta), Mohan Markam (Kondagaon), Mohammad Akbar (Kawardha), and Chhavindra Karma (Dantewada).

Former Chief Minister Raman Singh from the BJP is contesting against Congress candidate Girish Dewangan, the chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation, in the Ranjangaon constituency.
